Turn Your Android Phone into a Galaxy S5 (Preferably running Android 4.4)

WHAT???! HOW?? :D :D
Stop with that smile first. Second, read on.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is undoubtedly a legendary phone. Heart beat sensor. S health. The amazing 16 MP camera with SelectiveFocus. The 2.5 Ghz processor. COME ON!!!!!! I'm drooling already... So let's just run out with a shopping bag and grab an S5! Hey? But what if your wallet says no? Your bank account says no? Your intensely traditional mother says no? Your carrier says no? Okay, that's where it gets annoying. But do not worry so much. I, Sourin, bring you a list of apps which quickly give you some of the best features from Samsung's latest flagship. So stop frowning at that innocent little android you have and start reading to get its full worth. Oh and I am nice enough to provide direct download links to each app so that you don't have to surf through the Internet and its plethora of ads and false downloads. So here goes..

1. Runtastic HeartRate Pro

So, first up, the awesome Heartrate sensor which comes packed onto the S5. Yeah, no your phone obviously doesn't have that. But then if you have a pretty normal heart rate and yet have the fancy of checking it out with your phone i have just the app for you. Presenting, the Runtastic HeartRate Pro for Android. Hell, yeah baby! The app extremely smartly uses your phone's camera lens to measure your heart rate. How, you ask? The app turns on the flash of your android phone and tells you to keep your index finger covering both the camera lens and the flash. The app then carefully tracks the slight colour changes on your skin with every heart beat and displays your heart rate. Pretty cool right? So have an excited heart beat? Go track it now with the Runtastic HeartRate Pro. Oh, and warning. This app is cool but its not as accurate as the S5 sensor and therefore if you have like a really bad chest pain and the app shows your heart rate to be normal, consult a doctor before you die. Just saying. Download here :-
http://m.hiapphere.net/apk-com.runtastic.android.heartrate.pro

2. Selective Focus

Damn cool feature, let me tell you. Blur part of your pic out and bring other things into focus right from the camera without editing. Ah, the galaxy S5. But hey, the S5 is not the only phone to have this feature. Google has released their app the Google Camera with the filter called Lens Blur which gives you the exact same functionality. Works only on phones with Android Kitkat though. But is still really cool.

3. Go Power

Now this app works a lot like S5's in-built power management app. The S5 has a whole lot of functionality here with even the "Ultra Power Save Mode". No, that doesn't give superpowers but simply makes the S5 screen colors limited to a black and white display (reminds you of the good OLD Nokias) without much connectivity like mobile data or Wifi. The Go Power app gives you almost the exact same feats with the "Extreme Power Save Mode". It gives you full functionality to control your phone's battery power consumption. Pretty awesome app. It ain't free but I'm nice enough to give it for free. Try it out. :-http://gamesfordroid.net/file.php?p=1&file=load/Top_Paid_Android_Apps_Pack-March_2014/GO%20Power%20Master%20-Battery%20Saver%20Premium%20v4.29.apk&sort=0

4. Universal Remote

See, if you had an S5 right now you could virtually control anything. Literally ANYTHING. The S5 has its Universal Remote app which can control your TV, your DVD player and even your Music System. And your phone controls nothing but your eyesight, eh? Times about to change as I recommend you the app IR Universal Remote. It's got a pretty basic UI and it covers your TV, to Blu-ray players and stereo. Your phone needs an IR Blaster to make this app work so check your specs before downloading this app and then getting pissed off at the developers. Get it here :-
http://www.appsapk.com/ir-universal-remote/

5. S Health

Yes, I am virtually handing you the S Health of the S5 to you. Well, no not really. But, I am providing exact alternatives. This one is simple. Just download the following apps :-
1. Runtastic Pedometer Pro
2. Runstatic Pushups Pro
3. Runstatic Situps Pro
4. Workout Trainer
Thats it. Literally. Pedometer,  PushUps and SitUps all use your phone's accelerometer (the motion sensor thing, genius) to track your footsteps, number of pushups and number of situps, respectively. Its really cool. And all the apps maintain a set work schedule. I've developed a six pack already! I am not kidding!
Get them here :-
Pedometer - http://www.apk4fun.com/apk/6789/
Pushups - http://m.hiapphere.net/apk-com.runtastic.android.pushup.pro
Situps - http://www51.zippyshare.com/v/24817682/file.html
Workout Trainer - http://www17.zippyshare.com/v/4105214/file.html

6. Kids Mode

I love this thing in the S5! It is so cute! Completely for kids. Little animal icons and talking animals and only simple functions will be displayed while mainstream apps and functions will be kept out of reach of children. Very interactive. I mean come on when does a phone talk back to you? Only when you're a five year old of course! So have that little kid who messes up your emails and deletes contacts while "looking for games"? (I swear i never did that. Well, fine a whole lot of times...) I have the perfect app for you! Zoodles has developed a Kids Mode app which works almost in the same way as the S5 Kids Mode with interactive pictures and cute little gestures and lots of security to keep the kids' little thumbs away from the main apps like Facebook and Whatsapp. Really nice. You'll fnd it here :-
http://downloader-apk.com/kid-mode-free-games-lock/

7. Private Mode

Ah, yes. A highlight of the S5. Hide almost anything with a password. Images, videos, books, apps. Guess what? You can get it too! Although not as sophisticated as the S5 private mode, you can download the AppLock 2. It works by locking individual apps with passwords and even looks good. Hey, get the best out of what you have, right? Get the best here then :-
 http://m.hiapphere.net/apk-com.domobile.applockpaid

Ok so now you have a galaxy S5! Yaay! Ok, no not really but partially maybe. Thank you for reading this! Oh and there is no app to make your phone waterproof.......yet.

All CS Fans - Counter Strike : Global Offensive.. Hopes Shattered or Made?

Counter Strike fans all share a rather disturbing little hobby... Killing people, preferably with headshots and enjoying it. There are the Counter-terrorists who just love to shoot the masked faces of the terrorists before they cause havoc. And the terrorists, who have an even more disturbing hobby of planting bombs and blowing up a building into a complete hellhole. And there are the disturbed souls who shoot the hostages watch them run and scream and then fall in the funniest ways possible and then laugh their asses off and then.. well, i wouldn't know much about them now would I? SO! Moving on...
If a serious gamer was to be asked to name a few popular game developer companies they would have Valve on their list. (Along with Rockstar Games.. Hey, who doesn't enjoy GTA?). And any serious gamer would know the next big name in Valve Inc.
COUNTER STRIKE : GLOBAL OFFENSIVE...(..and the drum beats and electric guitar comes in...)

I shall refer to the above mentioned game as CS : GO. The Counter Strike series is as famous as Obama in the world and competitive gamer or not, you must have played at least once. If you haven't, play it now. The story began with 1.6...then came the Condition Zero.. and then Source..and now this big boy came.

So is it really as good as expected? The hype created by its trailer was immense. CS fans around the world jumped when they heard about a new CS game. My own brother jumped up and hurt his head. But was it worth all this? (I'm not talking about my brother's head.) Read on, and find out!

THE REVIEW

CS : GO was definitely made with a whole lot of care. The graphics, the AI, the guns. Every detail is as good as one would expect from one of today's leading game developers. Let's face it. CS 1.6 and its successors are by far the most popular games ever made and their names are known by gamers and non-gamers alike. But it never really excelled in graphics did it? For all we have seen, you could throw a grenade and it would bounce back blast on your head. See, now that was simply annoying. It wasn't even funny. But CS : GO has excelled in every aspect of an FPS. The game still maintains the essence of a tactical shooter. And in such good ways. The game runs on the Source engine, the same engine which powered Counter Strike : Source, released in 2004 (sounds a bit ancient, doesn't it?). But there are major differences between the two games. In the most subjective way possible, I tell you, CS : GO contains all the improvements while Source had all the downers. The brand new CS game has new weapons, new game modes and a completely reshaped new UI. Valve did not have this idea while making CS : Source ten damn years ago. But hey, you cant blame them now. Gaming had not matured much back then and everyone loved the classic CS user interface. But you have to give it to Valve for achieving immense graphical improvements in CS : Source which most games at that time could not achieve. But getting back to CS : GO...

The Gameplay...WOW!

I must give it to Valve. The gameplay of CS : GO is absolutely amazing. In its essence the gameplay retains the native CS experience with significant improvements. Each player joins either the Terrorist side or the counter terrorists and kills the member of the other side. CS has always taught us that you don't second chances and death is permanent. Players, after being drilled with a full SMG round, face death and do not respawn until the next round. Yeah, native CS gameplay. As before, you purchase weapons at the beginning of each round which you can drop and pick up dead opponent's weapons. Talking about buying weapons....tijanhfdjniaundanfufu djifnaufnh......sorry, that was my exact reaction of bewilderment after seeing how i could buy weapons on CS : GO. It looks something like :-

Yeah, pretty darn cool, right? Now stop drooling and get the game already! Overall, the graphics of the game are exceedingly good. Every spark of every trigger pressing session is seen and not a detail is missed. There is blur effect around the mouth of a gun while firing which just adds a hell lot to realism. Oh, almost forgot. The explosions. HELL YEAH! These are extremely cool to watch. With every explosion of a grenade or a C4, there is an outstanding "blur-and-shake" effect. You'll know it when you see it and you'll love it. The age-old flashbangs are there too with the effect being a similar one seen in the Call of Duty series. Like going with and then seeing the world as though you're high on cocaine...oh you know what i mean!

Weapons, Maps and Damn Good Game Modes :D

Alright, extremely quick easy quiz. What are the four most used guns in any CS game.....? ....
...
...
...
Fine fine, I'll answer it myself! The M4 carbine (my personal favourite), the AK-47, the Magnum sniper rifle and the legendary little Night Hawk/Desert Eagle. If Valve would have replaced any of these, they would have shut down and their officials would have been sniped using Magnums (yeah, you guessed that one.). So now you know four of the weapons present. There are 36 more. And 8 new additions. I'm sorry that i'm spoiling it in such an evil way for you, but Molotov Cocktails (exclusive to terrorists) is a great new addition. Yeah, those fired up bottles of alcohol terrorists think are grenades and love tossing around like a tennis ball. Oh, and an incendiary grenade for the counter terrorists. They seem to have chucked out the MP-5 i have no idea why. Probably forgot to put it in. A detailed list of weapons is here too (I am too nice and you are too lazy to google the stuff so..) :-
http://counterstrike.wikia.com/wiki/Counter-Strike:_Global_Offensive

The maps of the game include new maps as well as redesigned versions of old maps. Remember dust? Of course you do. You remember it more than your own house don't you? Well chuck those memories of the old maps out. Older CS fans are in for a surprise as the redesigns are not like the ones in Source. Source had redesigned maps but the map layout was the same. GO does not have that. Places of hiding have changed and roads to bomb sites have changed. Might annoy some at first, but the maps are a joyful ride for the adventurous ones. Maps are set with lovely detailing. A much improved concept in CS GO is the fire in the game. Like "Fire". Like literally. The fire. Flames. Got it now? Things can be set a blaze and the flames ever travel a bit and smoke is created from each flame. The fires can even be used for distracting enemies or hiding from some and is a great graphical effect on the game.

Lastly, the game modes. Hostage rescue. Bomb defuse. No need of any explanation.. But wait, thats not it! CS has matured from shooting terrorists, defusing bombs, planting bombs, saving hostages, and shooting hostages and watching them run and scream and....ok, fine sorry! Moving on... CS GO includes three new game modes. "Deathmatch" where you gain the highest score by killing with different weapons offering different scores in 10-minute matches. There's "Demolition" where you can't buy weapons and have to kill atleast one enemy with a weapon provided by the game from a predetermined set of weapons. And there is the "Arms Race" which is chaotic as hell. This mode provides respawning in a round and on each kill a player is given a new weapon. The downer is that there are only two maps for this mode. But we always have the smart guys who can make new maps so no worries for PC gamers.

Conclusion

What? Is it over already? Well, yeah. CS GO isn't that big of a game in itself. The multiplayer is non laggy provided you have good internet connection from faithful ISPs and good hardware. You can play offline too with those AI guys called BOTS. They are smart, trust me. Call of Duty and Battlefield players have to change their strategies in order to get the best of this game. All in all, pretty awesome.

Oh! Oh! And the trailer..

BATTLEFIELD 4 - Best one yet?

Oh come on, let me begin with this one. We all love First-person shooters. We all just love the feeling of holding a virtual gun, aiming around wherever we want and shooting whoever and whatever we want. And we laugh our asses off when we're punished for shooting friendlies. I have seen girls starting off with barbie dolls and then ending up shooting guys in the head with an M4 Carbine. But! The question is... Is Battlefield 4 as good as all that? Hell, yes, its even better than that. Hey, I'm not done, because I'll have to tell you why.

THE REVIEW

I seem to be a bit late, eh? Battlefield 4 released last year in around September and created more hype than any other game in the series has ever created before. Was it worth the wait? Worth the hype? Read on (please!) and find out..

Why is Battlefield 4 the best one yet?

Simple. Because it combines all of the Battlefield games before it. It has that suspenseful vibe from Battlefield 1942, brings back the good old "commander" strategy mode from the second Battlefield game, contains absorbing graphics of Battlefield 3 (much better now, though) and......has the death and destruction of all of them in one small package. A fairly new concept included in Battlefield 4 is the improvement of the AI. Yeah yeah lots of Counter Strike and Rainbow Six fans hate the AI. But hey, atleast take pride you're smarter than them. Now that would seem difficult to prove in Battlefield 4. Why? Because they can adapt. Much faster than you yourself can (and me too, not like I'm a pro or something). Buildings collapse, a dam explodes, explosions all over the screen. And yet, the AI seems to have the time of its life. The soldiers in the AI or the BOTS move around with perfect agility. But you're the one who needs to be alive in the game. Not them. Therefore the use of personal strategy comes into play here. The sudden, quick and huge changes in the environment forces players to change their strategies along with it. You are given a team and you have to command them with a strategy in such a way that they are always ready for a sudden fit of destruction (no, I am not only talking about exploding dams). Kids, you might take a whole lot of time to get used to this game.

Guns, Blazes and... Vehicles!

Oh, finally! The interesting part! Guns. Yup, as expected Battlefield 4 has a plethora of weapons and the detail on them has significantly improved.  The list is huge. And by huge i mean HUGE! Carbines, rifles, snipers, shotguns, SMGs, pistols.. Everything is there. Shit, I forgot the machine guns and the rocket launchers. Again. So anyway, the ever popular M4 and AK-74U are obviously there but what struck me in this game is the fact that there is actually more sniper rifle significance than rifles. The L96, M39, Scout Elite and a whole lot more are there. But hey, nothing like a Magnum hey? (Counter Strike fans probably got that) The pistols section include the ever popular M9 and .44 Magnum revolver and more variations like P226 and FN57. Shotguns have the SPAS, USAS and more. SMGs obviously have the very popular P90 and the UMP-45 oh and the little but devastating MP-7 is also there! I love that little thing. Shoots everywhere! Developers haven't left out rocket launchers and machine guns either providing lots of variations to each of the sections. The total weapons list includes :-
Rifles - 19
Sniper Rifles - 19
Carbines - 12
Machine guns - 15
SMGs - 13
Pistols - 12
Shotguns - 11
Rocket Launchers - 11
Total - 112 weapons. Like i said. HUGE
If you want a more detailed list with pretty little pictures you'll get it here :-
http://bf4central.com/battlefield-4-weapon-list/
The vehicles. Armored cars, tanks, jeeps, choppers, planes... Hell, even a motorcycle! Yup, there is a motocross bike included in Battlefield 4 and it is simply awesome. The detail on each of these is amazing. Gone are the times when vehicles used to move but their wheels would not and no matter how much you shoot the glass would not even get scratched. Ever detail in every vehicle has been supervised. Transparency is seen at its best when you look through the glass of vehicles. And when you're hiding behind one you don't need to peak out from the car's bonnet and shoot the guy. Shoot through the glass and its done. Sounds have been at their best too and makes the game seem even more real. A detailed list of vehicles is right here :-
http://bf4central.com/battlefield-4-vehicle-list/

The Environment - One of the best aspects of the game.

Battlefield 4 excels in its map design. Honestly, I love Call of Duty but i haven't yet seen a better map design than the one provided in Battlefield 4. The level design is simply terrific. Each of the maps will make players scout around for opportunities like vantage points and every detail seems alive (sounds like a an advertisement for a new television, doesn't it?). Seems to be exaggerated but this is exactly what it is. Leaves fly around, the water gives ripples and reflection, smoke comes from every small fire and spark. Maps like the Hainan Resort and the Rogue Transmission will live on as classics (not a spoiler). The calmness of the environment before a storm or an explosion and the change that takes place is amazing. The game uses the reality based Frostbite 3 engine which works like a charm, considering you have good enough hardware. The game takes place in the year 2020 and the developers have shown significant technological improvements without making the game something like Star Wars.

Multiplayer or Singleplayer Campaign?

Both. In the Campaign mode, you play as Recker who has the two functions of tactical visor and Engage command. The campaign features Recker giving commands to his sqaudmates to take out enemies and other actions including sniping from a vantage point. Playing the campaign mode is fairly important as each mission and the kills in them unlock achievements which in turn unlock weapons which can be used in the Multiplayer mode.Collectible weapons return with the introduction of collectible "Dog Tags" which are kind of like points to be used in the Multiplayer mode. There are a huge number of missions and almost all of them have really exciting objectives. Yes, much more exciting than defusing a bomb or saving hostages.

The multiplayer mode. This one outshines the campaign mode. Easily. The multiplayer can host upto 64 players (!!!!!!) divided in three factions - US, Russian and Chinese. The "Commander Mode" from Battlefield 2142 is reintroduced and gives each player an RTS view of the whole map being played and allows the player to give orders to his sqaudmates. There are different weapons kits for use such as the 'Assault Kit', 'Reacon Kit' and 'Support Kit'. A spectator mode is also included. Internet based gameplay was lag free in my PC but then again that depends on individual network connections. All in all, its pretty damn great.

Gameplay

The gameplay in this game is as good as everything else. The game's Heads-up-Display (HUD) is pretty much the same as Battlefield 3. The lower left hand corner features a mini map but not too mini to not be read properly. An simplified objective notice hovers above it and when you don't know what to do after killing almost everyone in the area (that happens, yes), consult the compass in the map to know where to go. The lower right includes an ammo meter and a health meter. The health meter is one aspect of Battlefield which I personally do not like. The Call of Duty health engine is better as it is self healing and gives players much more opportunity to complete missions. The checkpoint aspect of Battlefield 4 gameplay is evident. You die. You respawn. You have to kill the same enemies again. But.. you do not have to restart the mission again. (phew!). And the game is not just shoot and bang and kill everyone making as much noise as possible. There is a lot of stealth based gameplay too. And a whole lot of sexy sniper kills. Promises to be great.

THE CONCLUSION

"In Battlefield 4, gamers will experience huge environments, a playground of destruction, access to an arsenal of vehicles, the ability to direct squad mates, and much more." - IGN

The "much more" is exactly what I just talked about. The game is just awesome and its meant to be played. The game is so immersive and good that you will not pause it even if your girlfriend calls. Kill that damn terrorist and save the world and then pick up with "Hi baby..". Shed a few bucks and get the game from here :-

I swear, its worth it.
